Dogs of all shapes and sizes compete in the Ultimate Air Dog competitions. This new extreme sport gives your dog the chance to let loose and jump into a 40 ft pool. In Lure Coursing, dogs chase and artificial lure around a fenced in field. Throughout all the twists and turn, your dog will get to experience a sense of freedom. The event is open to all breeds, with the exception of Greyhounds. Registration begins when gates open.
The entire family will enjoy the Rock n’ Roll K9’s show. Dogs and their trainers’ groove to rock n’ roll music while showing off their extremely talented trick dogs. Children in the audience are asked to interact with the dogs during the 45 minute show. Performances at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
Watch the Pawsitive Vybe Frisbee Team featuring an entourage of incredibly talented canine friends. The well trained and athletic canines will amaze you as they snatch flying discs out of the air during a backflip or take a running leap off the handlers back. What Should You Expect When Adopting from the Humane Society of Huron Valley? The Humane Society of Huron Valley and other local shelters will be hosting on-site pet adoptions. They'll help you select the right pet for you and your family. Here is a few things you should know and expect when adopting from the Humane Society of Huron Valley. (adoption criteria may be slightly different with other shelters on-site)
In order to adopt, you must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, with proof of residence
If you have a dog and wish to adopt another dog, we will require a dog-to-dog interaction
You will need to fill out an adoption survey in order to visit with the animals
Please expect to be spend at least an hour if you plan on adopting that day
Some animals have special adoption requirements
We reserve the right to deny an adoption.
Cats, kittens, dogs or puppies marked as "Perfect Pairs" must be adopted together.
Seniors over 62 years of age are eligible for a FREE adoption of a senior cat or dog 8 years or older.
Any senior citizen (62 years or older) will receive a $20 discount on an adoption
When we run adoption specials, only ONE discount applies.

Dog Agility is a fun team sport you and your dog can enjoy together. Come experience a 1000 square foot off-leash agility course with jumps, tunnels, pause tables, A-frames and weave poles. Brought to you by The Friends of Canton Dog Park.
